Solar System Design and Installation
No Guesswork. No Shortcuts. Just Honest, Expert Solar Solutions.
At Solair Electrical, we believe solar should never be a one-size-fits-all package. That’s why every single solar system we install starts with a proper on-site inspection, a sit-down consultation, and a system designed specifically for your energy needs, home layout, and future plans.
We don’t send out cookie-cutter quotes based on satellite photos. We don’t outsource installations to random subcontractors. We don’t upsell you a 13kW system when a 6.6kW will serve you better.
We offer genuine, expert solar advice—because we love what we do, and we’re here to do it properly.

What Makes Our Solar Design Process Different?
We Always Visit Your Property First
Before we even talk system sizes, we come to your home or business. We inspect:
- Your roof space and orientation
- Shading from trees or neighbouring structures
- Switchboard condition
- Existing cabling or battery infrastructure
- Access points and safety for install day
This means we catch challenges early, ensure compliance, and design a system that actually suits your home, not just your postcode.

We Sit Down and Go Over Your Power Bills With You
We don’t just ask you for a usage estimate—we help you understand your actual usage patterns. We look at:
- Daily usage trends (peak, off-peak)
- Tariffs and feed-in structures
- Bill cycles and seasonal variation
- Future energy use (e.g. EVs, battery, growing family)
From there, we’ll design a system that’s right-sized, not oversized—so you're not spending more than you need to.

We Plan for the Future, Not Just the Present
If you’re considering:
- A battery down the line
- A pool or spa
- EV charger installation
- Home extension
- Future additions to the family
- Our solar installations are catered to your families needs now and in the future
We’ll factor that in now—so you don’t end up with a system that needs costly upgrades later.

What’s Included in our Solar System Installations?
What’s Included in a Solar System Installation?
A quality solar system includes:
- High-Efficiency Solar Panels: Tier 1 panels for durability and long-term performance
- Premium Inverters: Fronius, Sungrow, & more, selected based on your needs
- Compliant Racking & Mounting: Secure, rust-resistant, and fully certified for local conditions
- Upgraded Cabling & Isolators: Safe, weather-rated AC/DC isolators and wiring
- Switchboard Work (if needed): We repair, upgrade, or replace old boards to meet AS/NZS standards
- Professional Installation: Done by our in-house CEC-accredited team—no subcontractors

We Replace or Upgrade Key System Components When Needed
Solar systems degrade over time, and we see a lot of failed installs done by rushed sales-driven companies. As part of our services, we can replace or upgrade:
- AC & DC Isolators (burned, cracked, or leaking)
- Junction Boxes (melted or non-compliant)
- Wiring & Enclosures (UV damage, rodent activity, water ingress)
- Damaged Panels (broken glass, micro-cracks, hotspots)
- Old or Unsafe Switchboards (not up to today’s solar safety standards)
- Faulty inverters
We’ll never suggest a replacement unless it’s necessary—but we won’t cut corners either.

No Subcontractors. Ever.
We believe in accountability and consistency. That’s why every Solair Electrical job is completed start-to-finish by our in-house, CEC-accredited team.
This means:
- You meet the solar installer before the day of the job
- The person who quoted your system actually understands how it will be installed
- We take full responsibility for your outcome
- We back our installs with a 10 year workmanship warranty
- No rushing installs and getting to the next one. We allow ourselves ample time to get the job done comfortably with no rushing ever.

Solar Design & Installation – Frequently Asked Questions
Do you really come out and inspect every property before quoting solar?
Yes—every single quote includes a full on-site inspection by a solar expert. We don’t rely on satellite imagery or guesstimates. We walk your roof, inspect your switchboard, measure angles, assess shading, and review your future energy plans before we even put pen to paper. That’s the Solair Electrical difference.
Why is a site inspection important for solar design?
Satellite quoting might be fast—but it’s risky. Without seeing your roof, switchboard, and how you use power, you’re likely to end up with:
- Panels in the wrong position
- Shading issues
- An undersized or oversized system
- A poor-quality install on the day
We believe you deserve better. That’s why we show up in person.
Will you just try to sell me the biggest solar system you can?
No way. That’s not our style. We design right-sized systems based on:
- Your actual usage
- Time-of-day energy habits
- Future upgrades like EVs or pools
- Budget and feed-in tariff considerations
We’ll never sell you a 13kW system if a 6.6kW system will do the job properly. It’s all about long-term value.
Can you help me understand my power bills and usage?
Absolutely. During our consult, we’ll go through your bills with you and explain:
- How much power you use and when
- What portion solar will cover
- What your savings could look like
- Feed-in rates vs. battery potential It’s about helping you make an informed, confident decision—not just throwing you a number.
How long does it take from site visit to solar install?
Generally:
- Site inspection: Within 1–3 days of your enquiry
- Quote: Sent within 12 hours of the visit (usually the same day)
- Install: Usually within 1–2 weeks of acceptance (depending on weather and availability)
We’re fast—but never rushed. We take the time to get it right.
What panel and inverter brands do you use?
We only use Tier 1 solar panels and trusted inverter brands like:
- Fronius
- Sungrow
- GoodWe
- Solax
- SMA
- REC
- Jinko
- Aiko
We’ll recommend the best combo based on your needs and budget—not just push what’s cheapest or trending.
Can you upgrade my switchboard or isolate any unsafe wiring?
Yes. During our site visit, we assess your electrical setup and if needed, we can:
- Upgrade or replace old switchboards
- Fit compliant RCDs and isolators
- Replace UV-damaged cabling or old junction boxes
- Clean up previous poor workmanship
We leave your system safe, neat, and 100% compliant.
Do you handle everything in-house or use subcontractors?
We handle everything in-house. From consultation to install, it’s our CEC-accredited team doing the work. You’ll know who’s coming, and we’ll never outsource your job to an unfamiliar crew.
Do I need council or Energex approval for solar?
We take care of all the grid connection paperwork for you—including submissions to Energex or Ergon if applicable. No stress, no chasing forms.
How long does a solar install take?
Most installs are done in one day, depending on system size and complexity. Larger installs or systems with batteries may require 1.5–2 days. We’ll confirm everything during quoting.
What’s your warranty on solar installations?
We offer a full 10-year workmanship warranty on all installations, plus manufacturer warranties on your panels and inverters (usually 10–25 years). And because we’re local, you know where to find us if anything ever goes wrong.
Where do you service?
We cover:

- Brisbane: All suburbs, north and south
- Logan: Loganholme, Springwood, Shailer Park, and surrounds
